Is it a cat-kokeshi, or a kokeshi-cat? Hard to tell - all I know is it is too cute to let it pass! This wooden doll is handcrafted by a traditional artisan (Togatta style), Hayasaka Masahiro. The body is painted with flowers. High-quality, and made to last – just remember that kokeshi dolls, looking like cats or otherwise, are for display, not for play!
