Ejiko aux rayures par Sato Hideyuki
Cette grande ejiko (bébé dans un panier) est peintes de rayures, un motif incontournable chez les kokeshi.
Ces poupées sont constituées de trois parties : le bas, creusé, accueille le corps de la kokeshi, bloqué à l'intérieur – il ne peut pas en sortir, mais tourne dedans. La tête est, elle aussi, libre de tourner sur son axe.

These ejiko (it's the name of this specific design) are made of three different parts: the bottom holds the body of the doll - it cannot get out, but turns freely inside. The head, too, is inserted in a loose way that allows it to turn. The decor is made of stripes, painted on the lathe.
