Did you know that kokeshi designs were inherited through family ties and apprenticeships? Kamata Takashi’s uncle, Kokubun Eiichi (1932-2014), was known for his striking designs. Now deceased, his kokeshi are continued by Kamata-san. I am fond of the contrast between the vibrant colors and the red outlining on the forehead!

- Handcrafted by Kamata Takashi, a Yajiro artisan
- 18 cm (7,1 in) tall, 3,7 cm (1,5 in) wide at the bottom
- Dogwood and dyes, waxed.
- Comes with an ID card.
